HookMod Servers: Admin Info

To access the admin menu inside the game you must bind a key to amxmodmenu. Just type the bind command you see below into your console. This will open the admin menu when you press p. To use a different key then p just replace the p in the bind command with the key you you want to use to open the menu.

Don't abuse your admin powers for personal advantage. This means that it's not allowed to kick/ban players because they are better then you. Also it is not allowed to slap players to a lower health so you can kill them easy with only one shot or knife slash.

Please always use the same nickname when you play on the server. This way the players and other admins will recognize you after a while. Tags can be changed without a problem but the nickname itself should stay the same. If you want to start using a completely different nickname then please send in your new nickname so the list with currently active admins can be changed.

Show some respect to other server admins. If you start kicking/banning other admins then admin powers will berevoked. If you notice that you are not the only admin playing on the server then you can use the amx_chat command (see below) to start an admin only chat so you can discuss a map change or whatever.

You can safely ignore requests from players to kick or ban other players or to change the map if you want. You are the boss when you're playing on the server, so you decide. Don't let the players tell you what to do or what not to do. If more then one player is asking for a map change then you might want to consider starting a map vote.

Starting a map vote is the preffered way to change a map. Don't just change the map without any notice just because you want to. You did not get admin powers so you can do whatever you feel like on the server. Players (and other admins also) find it very annoying if you change the map without doing a mapvote or asking the players if they agree to change the map to a specific map.

Some usefull commands

To start a knives only vote just say: /voteknivesonly. Only admins have access to this command.

To send a message to all players (even when you are dead) type this in console:
amx_say your message here

To send a message that can only be read by other admins type this in console:
amx_chat your message here

To send a message to all players showing in white in the left of the screen type this in console:
amx_tsay your message here

To send a message to everybody in color in the middle of the screen type this in console:
amx_csay color* your message here
*type the name of the color for example green, or yellow

When a player is AFK and you want to slap him a couple of times with 0 damage you must do the following:
From the admin menu you choose the slap/slay option. Then you press 8 to change the option from slay to slap with 0 damage. Press 8 again to change from 0 damage to 5 damage etc.
